I remove battery and when I reconnected it the alarm went crazy
I pressed all buttons a million times and this turned it off
Now when I turn the key to ON - the hazards come on for 30secs before they go off
Then if I continue to start the car - they come on again for another 30secs
Can anyone tell me how to reset this alarm thing and what to do when I want to change batteries again
Thanks

Hmmm how did you go about the battery removal and replacement including any little step you took to do it? and was there an alarm sounding or just hazard lights flashing?

I had a similar problem where i re-connected the battery and the hazards would stay on and not go away. Even once I was driving.

Took it to the auto elec and said I fried the alarm module somehow. He crawled under the dash on the drivers side and disconnected the module and now the central locking works fine again and the hazards have stopped blinking, I just need to get around to getting a new module and having it reprogrammed to my keyless entry.

Keep in mind, my car is smartlock & not smartshield like yours. Not sure of the differences.
