Thanks all... If its on then there is, or has been a problem with your air bag, have you blown and replaced a fuse lately? When you turn on the ignition the light should flash a code to show you the error, note the code and check out the Air bag diagnostics in the Doco's section on this forum. From there you should be able to deduce the problem and reset it, if it is no longer valid. Cheers TW.

Often happens if the power to the airbag system is interupted. Have you pulled the fuse out recently?
Check the document here http://www.fordmods.com/phpBB2/documents.php?doc=3 this explains how to reset the system.

Check the code again, what work did you get done at the service? Anything to do with the steering column? if so they could have damaged the clockspring.
Cheers TW.

The problem can also be related to the battery,if voltage drops under 9.6V (from memory)when cranking over the air bag light will come on & the code will have to be reset to get rid of it.Also heard that if you have an accident & the light is on insurance companies can refuse your claim.

start you remove the jumper and the intermittent faults get cleared. Otherwise print the document and take it to the service place and get them to fix it. Cheers TW.
