Ay boys!!!

A mate of mine bought an EA turbo a while back and it seems to be a factory turbo unit the turbo being a dealer option.

Its an 88 or 89 EA S pack EFI 6 and the body and engine is is stamped with a "T" after the engine number

Anyway just wondering if anyones seen or heard of 1 of these before, detailed info about release numbers and other dealer options would be awesome.

By the way the car needs a fair bit of work body wise but engine, turbo, intercooler and other bits appear to be in good nick.

Also been offered a respectable amount of money for it to, also have the engine number written down somewhere if that helps let me know.Cheers

Yeah im assuming the "T" stands for tickford or turbo but everyone we ask or show the car to freaks out as if it were mad rare or sumthing one dude offered $17000 and it looks like s**t at the moment only paid $1000 for it so 17 sounds mighty tempting just wanna find out more coz it might be worth holdin on to and restoring.

Yeah i saw an EA AIT turbo about 12months ago for sale in brissy for $5500. Looked like a stock Spac with snow flake rims.

Had a dash that went up to 260km/hr. T3 turbo, intercooler, piping plus AIT stamped plate up near the firewall.

The Battery was on the passenger side and the stock airbox was where the battery normally sits.

This ones got a normal s pack speedo but all the other bits are the same. Cant remember what side the battery was on. there is no need for an airbox on such a turbo application the intercooler does the filtering.

intercooler doesn't do any filtering.
usually theres a pod filter mounted if the airbox has been removed.

nope, there should be some kind of filtering device attached to the front housing of the turbo. is it just an open ended pipe attached to it?
