I am thinking about picking one up. They say they are better then K&N and I know they are pretty big on the japanese scene but are they any good?

Im having mixed feelings about these re-usable filters, after today i oiled my K&N for the first time.

I sprayed as least amount of oil as possible till all the white cotton was reddish, and today i found a pool of red ink in the bottom of the airbox...... i havnt inspected the throttle body yet :(

gravity caused that, nothing to worry about, I'm sure there wont be any on the throttle body side of things.

Had a Simota pod in my old XG .... looked identical to the K&N pod (material and colour ... shape and design looked indentical) ... noly difference was Simota was stamped into the top of the pod.

Sounded awesome indeed ... dunno if there was a difference in power ... but it was a rice mod at the time when I had that ute.
