I don't think there would be many people on here that even know what a carby is. There is a guy off Lewis Rd Boronia i think it is who is brilliant with carbys and thats all he does.
I think hes called the carby shop. |

Can be a hard call not knowing what you have already checked. May be the rubber fuel line from the tank has swollen with age and blocked or the gause filter on the pickup is blocked, fuel pump may have a hole in the diafram or could simply be a bit of dirt or rust has blocked the inlet at the carby bowl or the jet is blocked. Shouldn't be any thing too dramatic though. Try running the fuel line between the pump and the carb into a bottle and wind it over to check that the fuel line is not blocked or pump is faulty before you strip the carby.

when u operate the butterflies on the carby do u see a nice spray of fuel. If not float in carby can be jammed, blocked jets mostly will show over time with performance/excessive fuel. As said earlier, remove fuel line off carby, take +red wire off battery, put fuel line into coke bottle. Mechanical fuel pumps operate at approx. 7lb/min flow, so don't be worried if the fuel doesn't blast out. If ur not confident in carby's take it to a shop, fixed and tuned b4 u have to think about it
