ATTENTION!!!! My EL Fairmont was stolen on Friday night the 18th of September in south yarra Melbourne it has a tickford body kit 18 inch speedy wheels and is navy blue in colour the rego is WDH765 if anyone has any info please contact the police or me on 0400066876.

Any idea how it was stolen...tow-truck, towed, hot wired...or keys stolen from inside the house???
There has been a fair bir of car stealing here, and the usual way is the owners are out, left the car/s at home, breaks into house, finds keys, takes car......  I heard, but know if it is the case or not, that if the car is stolen by break & enter, gets keys ( unsecured ),....no insurance payout...unsecured keys!!!!! Anybody know if this is true???????

Damn that would really suck  ...I'm sure common sense says the insurance company should pay out, but greedy insurance companies obviously don't see it that way. I mean what's considered unsecure? it's locked inside a bloody house...that's pretty secure IMO. I always take my keys with me even if my car is at home...have some house keys on there which is probably why.Good luck with the search. Will give a yell if I see it out and about.

If you leave the cars in the car and its stolen then an insurer may or may not pay out of a claim Basically insurance is for what might happen, now what will happen If you dont protect your property then an insurer is not going to take on the insurance risk Anyway sorry to hear about your car - hope they find it asap

thats shattering mate i know how you feel dads car was stolen and stripped and we found it in the middle of no where past mildura.
I hope its recovered soon.

Broke into the house while everyone was asleep, took the entire key rack with em. Pushed everything so didnt make any noise, fired up the GTS in the street and f**k off. He heard the dogs barking but ignored them, then heard the 3 1/2" straight through exhaust and thought "f**k me...", ran out the front in his undies to watch the GTS drive down the street. Insurance is covering it but not a brand new SII. Something like $10k extra to fill the gap. |
