wanting to put a new cam in my AU race engine, was going to bung an xr6 cam in but ford australia emailed me back saying they have a high performance cam that would suit but no details part number is ELHT 6250 A, has anyone out there got one in their car, do you have to change springs etc, apparantly the xr6 cam you dont have to do this, but they havnt supplied any info, emailed them requesting info but still havnt heard back, engine has been modified to run on an XF dizzy and XF weber carb as we cant run injection and is easier to run without the computer and all its sensors as it is used in a contact class in speedway over here in nz, so wondering what the lift etc is on these cams as we are restricted to 0.5" lift on inlet and exhaust, any help appreciated TIA, here's a video link of the type of car the engine is in (limited to 248ci)

Hi, the cam inquestion is actually the AU non VCT camshaft from the AU HO engine. Have a look below I am selling mine. Look at the pics you can see the part number you mentioned on the carboard tube.
Or search for: "XR6 cam" at www.ebay.com.au http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Ford-6-cyl-AU-XR ... dZViewItem |
