ive heard a couple of people mention this, is it as easy as it sounds?this eleminates the whole vct thing doesnt it or would i just have to get a non vct au motor?
im going to be doing up a motor out of the car in the next month or so after i get my door that met a pole fixed up. ill just be doing the usual mods cam, stronger valves, new cai, extractors, exhaust, probably replace my clutch see how it all goes. any tips on the engine mod. ive tried the search aswell didnt really come up with what i was askin

just get a non vct au motor(cheaper),you have to mod the sump though.get a tickford e series head for the bigger valves.depends how much $$ you wanna spend.maybe you could just get a low km ef xr motor so it'll just drop in.let me know if you need anymore advise,i'll be happy to help

Yes main benefit was the stronger sump setup plus its likely to have loads lower kms and be easier to come across one in decent condition
