yeah, he bought it for his AU engine and ran fine in it..

he was also going to send me down AU rockers so I could use the cam but he accidently cracked them getting them off, so i used my hybrid's rockers

okay, I bled the lifters, and they compress nicely, fitted the cam and rockers, now I wound it over by hand, and I have compression back, yayy..

but now with it all done up tight, the lifters are fully compressed and I cant lift them at all, im worried that if i leave it, start the car, and when they pump up, will I go back to no compression? rockers only have one shim as per factory too..

so will I go back to no compression when they pump up? done up tight theyre fully compressed I cant push down at all on the arms, undo all the rocker bolts half a turn and I can push them down slightly..

sorry its hard to explain without showing you in person..

basically, with all the rocker gear done up tight, the lifters are completely compressed and will not compress any further.. if i apply enough force the valve starts opening..

im worried when I start the car, and they pump up, they will push out a little and hold my valves open causing no compression in the cylinders, ?

or will they stay completely compressed and tick their heads off?.. either way im leaning towards its not gonna work and ive spent money for nothing.. i really hope not tho..

As I said, they will pump up to the required lift need. They bleed down at approx 20nm. If they over pump then you have faulty lifters. Expect then to make a noise till they pump up. This could take a couple of days.

Did you bleed the lifters all the way down so that they would fully compress?

thats my point.. they are fully compressed when bolted up.. the cam holds them fully compressed..when the pump up wont they "push out" as they fill up with oil? which would cause my valves to stay open?..

Did you bleed them down completly so that they fully compress?

I measured from a point in the head to the top of the valve springs with no cam or rocker gear, valves closed measured 5cm. to the top of the spring,

with the cam in, and rocker gear bolted down, the valves that are closed, sit at 5cm, BUT the lifters are completely compressed down hard, due to the cam, so im worried because the cam already holds them compressed even tho the valves are shut, that when they pump up, they will push the valve down a little, when its supposed to be shut.. causing no compression..

If the force required to compress the valve is more than 20nm, they won't pump up.

so basically in my case, your saying theyre not going to pump up? they will stay compressed?

wont they tick their heads off?
