G'day all, a slightly unusual question for ya.
I was wondering if anyone knew the diameter of the shaft section of AU I6 camshafts and the radius of the lobe section that corresponds to zero lift. I know this may seem like pointless information but I'm practicing some of the theory I'm learning at uni and trying ot learn a bit more about the Faclon 6 in the process. I would be happy to share my results with anyone who would like them. Thanks in advance. Matt

The measurement your after is called the base circle diameter. Not sure what it is for AU cams though.

The measurements for an AU camshaft are as follows
Core diameter = 1.200" Journal diameter = 1.495" Base circle diameter = 1.905" Matt...I trust that helps you with your project. Cheers Chris WADE CAMS |
