hi guys i have a few teething issues that i have not found as yet in the 53 pages of posts so far (i havent read each and every one just the ones with related headings)
i have swapped the tired old engine for a reco-ed auIII . im running the el inlet manifold coz it looked the same and seemed easier that changing all the injector wireing. i have it running now BUT...... im not sure if the map sensor is working ... pulkl the vacume line off it runs good but very rich put it back on stalls. and if i hold it just off it seems to lean out abit??? ... is this a learning thing with the ecu? is the ecu reseting every time i finishing working on it i disconnect the neg off the batt. should i reset the ecu? i read about that b4 ... any help appreciated as this is the last problem other than shimming a tad off the sump already did the kframe mod just not quite enough off but this can be done on the hoist if i can drive it there... |

The quickest thing to do, is to swap in a known working Map Sensor from another car, and if the problem then still exists, then it is not the Map sensor.
Also check for any vacuum leaks, as this will contribute to running rich, especially if the leak is on the Map Sensor hose. BenJ

I had no problems with the sensor on mine when i did my swap from EF to AU motor but your map sensor seems to be working fine as you described it, I did have mine running rough and turned out i left one ot the injector plugs off so maybe check them all as well.
