eb2lover ive got a series 1 fairmont and mine only beeps when it reaches 80 kms or below fuel left in the tank. It will beep every time the ignition is turned off.

You might want to check out the tech documents, it tells you the codes there........

Might help!!!!!!!!

au codes you need the special computer o diagnose. its most likely a problem with the trip computer ( the bem or ecu?)... does it switch off when you press the reset button on teh speed/trip comp?

ECu= engine control unit

laymens terms a pc that controls the engine and allows it to run ie spark, injectors, fuel pump, thermo fans bbm switching

BEM = body electronics module
cotrols all the body electrics ie power windowas,smartlock, ariel up/down etc

if its beeping with 1/2 a tank means you have been flogging the a*** off it and if you keep driving that hard you will use 1/2 a tank in 65ks lol mine was beeping at 1/2 tank when i took it out on a track day then on they way home on the freeway range went back to 300 ish lol made me laugh when i seen the range left but
