This is on a customers car, the car came to me not running (engine done a bottom end) so I fitted another engine in it, and have this issue where when you push the throttle in about half way the engine cuts out, but before it completely stalls I can remove my foot and it continues to run, I have replaced the TPS with no change. any ideas guys? cheers.

not sure if that sounds like the issue tho, as the engine cut's out like it looses spark and fuel..

I got the car back to try and sort this issue out, I discovered that the motor I fitted to it had different sensors on it than the original engine, the car itself is a series II and the motor I fitted to it was a series one engine, I have swapped over the upper part of the intake and the engine loom from the old engine, now the original issue I was having with it is gone, but now it is running extremely rich to the point it will not idle, I have disconnected the battery to reset the ECU, but I have a feeling that this will not solve the issue, any ideas on what could be causing it?
