Sometimes my taxi fails to engage in drive properly and its really starting to get to me. I put the stick in D, go to take off and nothing just some revs and the car slowly starts to move then one of two things happen. Either it bangs into gear and all is normal or I just put it into neutrtal then back into drive and keep doing this untill I can feel it engage into drive. I'm guessing its one of the solenoids. Any takers?

Get he linkages adjusted. Also why are you starting off in drive anyway,They behave a lot better using 3rd around town.Save drive for 80k speed limits and above.
