what torqe should the head be done up to
same as a ef ?? or au?? and can you still use ef bolts?? help guy i want to put my head back on

always use the specs for the headgasket - so if your using an AU gasket go with AU specs.
As for the headbolts, if you buy new ones (which you always should) you will get AU ones anyway.

Torque should be on front of gasket, on the packaging somewere, or find a genuine Ford AU manual. Pretty sure the head bolts are the same, but best to stick with the EF ones I reckon if there not as the ehad and block are still EF. And the bolts can't be reused incase you didn't know.

You cant buy EF bolts anymore. The AU ones are the same, just a little stronger. Chances are if the gasket has been done before you already have AU bolts (they have threads that go further up the bolt) (au bolt on the right)

do the au gaskets need retensioning or is it better to just for peace of mind and does anyone know what the au gasket tension is

1st step: 30Nm
2nd: +120 degrees they are torque-to-yield bolts and wont need retensioning.

i got an AU gasket but torqued it up with eb specs my mistake that was over 6 months ago and is now starting to use water was hopeing to retension using AU specs and hopeing for the best
