I can back up his story.

I was talking to crowcams a few weeks ago, and basically over the past year they have been back and forth with a manufacturer in Europe trying to get them sorted. At the time of my call they had only just gotten a sample that had Quote:"every thing in the right spot".
He said they would be available mid this years

Someone from Europe. I explained to them that I required a blank so when my engine was assembled I didn't have to limit the car by the fact that regrinds can only go so far. They wanted to grind me a cam without knowing headflow specs, final compression ratio and everything!

Sounds like their mystery European cam supplier also supplied them with a crystal ball

Would be interesting to see what their relationship with the supplier is and on what basis they plan on restraining trade and who gets the rights over the specs of blank camshafts. I'm guessing Crow own the design and licence it to the supplier on strict terms, as would be very very difficult to limit who the supplier sells to if the supplier owned the rights (ACCC would be all up in their grill).
