i was thinking of dry sumping it, the cam's rpm range is 4000-8000 using adjustable solid rockers and all the usual head work, 390 4bbl holley, EDIS with megajolt, pro timing set, vernier gear ect, i was hoping to get away with just a balance on the bottom end, i might have to work out the piston travel/speed ans see what i work out. last seasons X-flow i built revved well into the sixes and still wanted to pull, the bottom end was basically standard. looks like more researching i want to get stuck into it ASAP.

The 390 Holley would be too small, I'd go the 600 vac sec sq bore, with twin fuel feed pipes, centre float bowls and max 12psi fuel pump.

LOL mate you really do have a obsession with the 600's hey, the 390 is a race carby designed for nascar it has centre hung floats, duel feed lines as well as progressive mechanical secondaries four corner idle system and high flow metering blocks, if the 390 can take a 350 chev to 9000+ rpm i and happy to run it on my 4.0l to 7500rpm.
