Yeh,stuffed up bad with those.

I meant the filter hanging on the end of the pump, the one that looks like fly wire.

Doesn't matter what you use, there could be crap from when the tank was made.

Could even be water from the air.

Just a thought, you said that you are at wits end.

How many kms? The oxygen sensor can cause revs to fluctuate if not oscillating properly/ often enough. Most probable cause.
Check fuel pressure because fuel pump could be on way out also.

You mean the gauze stlye filter sock on the inlet to the fuel pump grumblebum04?
Thatd be a thing to chck, if not that ignition can also cause a slight issue with idle dropping in and out.
Check ignition leads and spark plugs etc, check they are connected properly.
