Hey Guys,
My car is EB II falcon XR6 auto all standard. I be thinking to put XR6 or XR8 from AU III motor and T5 or auto gearbox. all is i just want to do is uni-chip, exhaust, pacemaker headers and maybe cam shaft. I will love if does around 170 to 200kw at the rear wheel. I know xr6 wont get that power plus $$$$! Anyone have done that XR8 and would be happy to give some information! My fav is 351 clevo (too much trouble to put EB plus RTA wont allow) Thank you

for the $$$ you would have to spend upgrading brakes etc to get v8 roadworthied you would be better spending money on a 6
get a later model one though (either el or au)

AU Xr6 motor will go in easily and run fine (non-vct)
all you need to do is, cut the A/C bracket so you can drop your dizzy in and shave the fins off the front of the sump. AU xr6 heads are good and with the right cam and chip are capable of 160rwkw. with heavy porting larger cam - injectors , fuel pump you could see 200 thats what im going for but in an Auto

Thank you for the information, Yeah i will go for AU XR6 but why non VCT?
ebfairmont3.9 - how come your in auto? I thought manual would be quicker and lighter than automatic. (i know T5 is not very strong gearbox plus clutch slip).

if you go vct you will have to change ecu etc.....actually you might have to change ecu anyway so maybe go vct
i dunno about aftermarket cams working with vct though, will have to wait for someone else to comment on that

Yeh the AU XR6HP motors are good if you can get one. A bloke is going around running 13.8 with one in an EB at the moment.

VCT as mentioned harder for getting cams, and you wont need a new computer to run a non vct... Ur ea comp stock will run the standard Xr6 motor easy. Yeah exactly(clutch slip, weak box's)... its gonna be running close to 200rwkw... So id rather an Auto plus i got 4.11's and a 3000 stall coming and shift kit... So its not a slow auto anymore. The weight difference is not enough to worry about either and its not much power loss auto will prob do 5-8rwkw less..
