If the revs are fluctuating when the AC kicks on and off, I would say that you have an issue with the ISC.
Have you checked the TPS? |

Check your air temp sensor, just under the Throttle Body hesd side.

Just check to make sure it is connected or not damaged.
If you need, I have a couple of spares here. When we put the AU motor in the Wagon, we used the wiring loom that was with it (EL Loom) but the original owner had cut off the plug for the air temp sensor and forgot to tell me. It was giving a bad idle and using excess fuel. We soldered on a new one and it was perfect straight away. Worth a check. |

Yep its certainly connected, the connector seems to be located into its locking tags too.

Maybe it just needs to be tuned, I've got a J3 sitting here doing nothing.

It shouldnt need to be tuned.. have you thought that there might be an issue with the injectors? ..
There could be a couple of lazy or internally leaking injectors.. You say they were exchange. Are they reco exchange. Bodgy home cleaned ebay specials or professionally reco flow matched injectors? |

Reco injectors from Bursons, some AZNEW brand, on exchange basis, they cost about $600 for the set.
I've been trying to get new genuine AU ones out of Bosch but they've been on order for 6 months and no ETA for delivery. |
