doesn't the AU have a coilpack and the ED have an alternator. Is it easy to switch ignigtion systems. Do they switch around fairly easily??

its easy to put a dizzy and tfi onto the AU block, just swaps over.
there was a fair amount of hacking required to get the V-belt setup onto the AU engine. i beleive you can't use an ED timing case because the sump is different and thus won't seal, so the only way is to modify the AU timing case

Cool, thanks for that, answered a LOT of questions i had, (like which part of the sump needs to be ground off to clear the K frame)
A/C tensioner = grind down timing cover Balancer = grind down timing cover and sump Alternator= grind bracket down a bit and part of sump + drill and tap hole (or weld in a stud) still seems like a better idea than buying all AU ancillaries!

Get a job, then the bank will loan you $15,000 with a smile. No guarantor. I speak from experience.
*Looks fondly at the Sprint*
