Hi all
Have to seriously start thinking about a somewhat less tired motor for the wags. The obvious choice is an AU motor so where is the best place in Sydney to get one from now days? DOnt care if it is a VCT or just an Intech. Looking forward to your replies. Matt

We can look after that mate, no worries. We can get the sump modified easy as welll. Have a good AU auto here for $50.00. approx 200,000 km. been looked after too. Know the old owner.

Ill just chuck the 5 speed up behind it when it gets done.
Will look at doing something similar to what XRlane did and redrill it to bolt it up. Just need to get some stuff sorted ( too many projects!) and get the ball rolling. It will have to be sooner then later but.

When you get Au Motor, see if you can get alternator as well, AU bellhouseing could be handy as well. Everything else we steal off the EF.

Just need to get some stuff sorted ( too many projects!) and get the ball rolling. It will have to be sooner then later but. It doesn't have to be re-drilled... just leave the 2 bolts out. I had no issues doing it that way It lasted about 10-15,000 like that with no issues. Technically, my AU motor is still like that, sitting on my garage floor. My motor came from Fordpro... I don't recommend buying one from there. while I had no issues, it was just too exxy for a runaround (as you intend to be using it). I went right through my motor (with the attitude of 'do it once - do it right'). It ended up costing me about 1k for the whole conversion by the time all the gaskets etc were replaced, modified sump etc. I'd go off SWC's advice, as he is always on the lookout for these motors

Cheers guys.
I shall hunt one up after easter and start the ball a rolling. I most likely should get the big white heap of s**t running again first before I kill another car
