hey all, i dont a search but came up with nothing.

i have a set of AU thermo fans, which has 90% of the wireing done, but as antony from alted performance done them im re wireing them...

there from an AU to be fitted to an EA.

what i need to know is what wires go to where from the fans (to what parts of what relays)
where the wires go to after the relay.

i want these to switch on when ignition is in the ON position not on accessories like antony had it setup

if they are the same as the EL fans..
the fat red wire from the relay goes to +on the battrey with a 20amp inline blade fuse. the temp switch variable is also on this line.

the back goes to earth - (body)

the blue wire goes to the + on the fan side
the neg - on the fans goes earth (body)

the green goes to the +ign wire somewhere, ie. horns etc. whats wrong with having it on accessories anyway?

if it goes on accessories, when ever your just chillin with the music on, or in a drive in, your thermos will be on and it will piss everyone off who also wants to listen.

its mainly where the wires go to on the relays from the fans... i might go check it all out now

What i did was wire the fans up to EL factory spec.. using an EL ECU...

I had the EL ECU along with the EL motor with bbm etc so this may or may not suit you!

bump, anyone got the diagram for the relays? i used some relays from the factory wireing but realised that the person who wired it up really f**ked it up so i need to start all over.

he also wired up the fans to spin reverse which i dont know why

well.. no it won't because it's on a temp switch so they will only come on when the car is idling and getting hot. You can't sit with the a/c on when the car isn't running???! lol

the air con isnt the issue here. I believe what he is trying to do is just hard wire the fans to be on constant when the ignition is on??
