Hey guys is it possible to remove clutch fan from my EB then fit AU thermos to existing radiator. What wiring do I need to do? Any info would be a help.

Hi,
You'll be better off using EF/EL thermo fans. AU's are quite a bit deeper and will have clearance issues, plus they dont mount directly to the EA-EL radiators. Cheers

Yep...EF/EL is the way to go. I'd probably suggest EL thermos. I heard something about having to mount AU thermos upside down in order to make em fit right or whatever? You could always be the first to do it successfully if ya want...hehehe. Good luck man...

EF thermo's will not fit...you NEED to use the EL ones. i asked for EL ones at a wrecker, and they gave me EF ones thinking they were the same...when i got home they wouldn't fit.
the EL ones are thinner...and so fit next to the radiator...the EF ones get stuck on the water pump when you're sliding them in.

i really don't like those temp switches that require the sensor to slip under the top hose. yes they do work, and i have seen them used and working countless times. the only issue i can see is they seem to want to leak. in my opinion, you would be better off tapping a hole in the thermostat housing ( cast bosses already there ) and screwing in a thermo switch. your average parts place has heaps of different ones. different temps/threds etc.

I know one fan is offset lower and is smaller and possibly different wiring. Im wondering will the whole assembly fit regardless.

No, the actual assmbly itself has different mount points, and is deeper. It will 'fit' but mounting will be a challenge, and also fan to front of engine clearance would be questionable.
