Just trying to fix a problem with an AU as it has no heat come out from the heater, i was wondering if it's normal for the waxstat brand? thermostat to be slightly open by 1mm or so when cold ? Havn't seen that before on other cars but i havn't dealt with an AU before.

I've checked the water tap and that the heater control moves the cab'e and operates whatever it is behind the glovebox.. so thought i'd check the thermostat next.. what's the bext way to check if the heater box is ok ?
cheers

heater core could be blocked, not allowing any water to pass through, even though the tap appears to be functioning, a block somewhere would obviously stop it from working.

Flush your coolant system from the heater tap, this will hopefully clear the blockage.
