Hi guys just wondering if i can drop a tickford xr6 engine, gear box and limited slip diff into my au1 fairmont. i have a chance to get these parts from a guy wrecking an au xr6, all for $750. The engine also comes with the wiring harness.

will need a computer to but sounds like a fair deal. assuming it's out of a series 1, otherwise: could be headaches.

is it the std xr6 engine or the vct engine??
the std xr6 engine can be directly fitted using your std ecu and loom.. |

technically the vct could be used with a few extra wires to couldn't it (with the ecu)? if you're willing to go that far.
but yes model for model would be an easy swap.

So to know the difference the vct is the red engine and the standard isn't?
