has anyone on here had trouble with a relatively low km ( 80-ish k )AU motor jumping the cam timing ? the oil in it was black. is this tied up with it ?

If the timing chain has jumped then the tensioners have most probably snapped. Does it still run at all?

i have swapped it with another low k engine. it still ran, but was crook. i reset the cam timing. it has some bent inlet valves.

Its news to me as well. Definitely not a common problem (unless people stuff around with the tensioner)
