Hey guys, I am sure there is a quick and simple answer to this question, an it is probably yes. I am 90% sure it is anyway.
Will an AU non VCT timing set fit and work on an EB motor? ie, chain guides, etc. Cheers Dave

The bottom guide, the one that goes on the sump is curved on the au motor e series wont fit, sorry dont know if you can use that info, all the rest is the same if you buy a timing chain kit for an au you get the bottom guide for an e series! so i cant see whats different, you have to buy the bottom guide for an au from ford.

What brand of kit comes like this? So you are saying that most aftermarket kits labeled as AU kits are actually E series kits cause they work in both?

well not to sure on all the brands i remember that they are not that common for the au.I do know mine has the e series guide on the bottom i just bought a new one from ford because i could not find one at all from an aftermarket supplier,so my guess was the rest of the kti is the same i will check the part numbers.precision, garmaks and nasons do not make the curved guide for the bottom of the au timing kit, nason sent me what looks like an e series kit will compare the contents of it with the e series engine in the shed

Just a rebuild, I can get AU chain sets at very good prices, thats all. Just wasn't sure how usable they were. Someone want to give me a rough price on a e-series chain and guide set?
