Just about ready to fit AU2 motor in EF fairmont but the AU engine mounts I'm using aren't lining up ??(square rubber). Do you have to bash s**t out of the chassis mount plate down for it to line up ? any ideas?
Also the mount locator tang doesn't line up either. Is it cut off or drill other hole in chassis mount?

Use the EF mounts or remove the lower nut the holds the bracket on the AU mount and use a thinner nut so it clears.

it's not the nut that's the problem it's actually bottoming out on the lower bracket so the bolt hole is too high ?

I cut the tang off the bottom of mount
the bolt holes line up although the mount is resting on the bottom chassis mount.
will this be alright or will be more engine vibration?

I does not matter if the bracket bottoms out just as long as the bolt goes though to mount it to the K frame, thats where the thinner nut comes in.
