G,day guys so ive come to the point in my conversion that i need to modify the cam angle sensor and knock sensor.. i have no idea how to do this at all and would really like a run down on how to do it.. i dont want to stuff anything so id like to have as much information as possible as i know nothing about these parts.. i actually have no idea where the knock sensor is let alone how to change the plug on it.. cheers guys

Knock Sensor is inbetween cly 5-6 on the passenger side.
You can just remove the pins from the EF plug, and stick them into the AU knock sensor. heat shrink it and your done. ford-4l-and-6-cylinder-f1/au-sump-mod-for-e-series-t79648.html?hilit=sump You'll prolly have pinging with normal fuel too as I've encountered Andrew

its on gas.. and petrol.. with the sycronizer.. do you just rotate it to fit the bracket or what? just worried coz it says not adjustable

The lead will reach at a pinch to fit the sensor if you use the AU clamp. As for the knock sensor I would recommend drilling and tapping the block to use the EF sensor. |

ok im a newb so i have no idea about what TDC is.. so most of that didnt make much sense.. i know the lead will reach just... but just wondering how to do it..
with the EF knock sensor.. how do i go about drilling and tapping it.. |

TDC = Top Dead Centre
Piston #1 is at the very top & you must be very careful that it is on the compression stroke & not on the exhaust stroke since the piston makes 2 cycles per power output. |

ok well the sump is off atm but when i get it back round i can then work on the sycronizer.. whats the easiest way to do it.. or should i get my uncles mate thats a mechanic to do it for me.. is it a hard job? as i have no idea what the pin in the sensor is.. i have the EF blown motor i could probably test on to do a practice run..
from what ive read if i take all the spark plugs out... then put my finger in the cyl one hole.. then as i rotate the harmonic balances i will feel pressure on my finger... while the pressure is still on my finger and then when the hole on the cam angle sensor is lined up... im at TDC? then i just have to do what?
