No. It will not. V8 cables go into the drivers side, 6 banger ones go into the passenger side. V8 is too short to use in a 6 pot.

Ok thanks. Worth a try, i keep snapping cables and i think that the v8 cable is more heavy duty. Just wasnt sure about lenghth. looking at other options rather than putting another 6 cyl cable in. This will be the 5th one!!

Where are they snapping from though? If its from the pedal side, check your pedal box is not broken or cracked, this will cause the cable to run at an unusual angle and break it prematurely. If its from the gearbox side, check the suppressor on the arm is not destroyed leaving the cable to rub and perish.

I've had both of these problems and more. even a damaged firewall was enough to cause a cable to break.

Pedal boxes are notorious for bending though. Especially as soon as a heavier clutch gets put in. E series firewalls and ridiculously weak.

The cables are breaking the balls off the gearbox end. Pedal box has been welded, firewall reinforced. Even had a new clutch fork and ancor pin put on. Might just have to put a lighter clutch in
