Well not sure mate, as I understand from looking at troys pic compared to my AU BBM I have vacuum lines next to the sensor on both the EF and AU BBMs. Where exactly is this vacuum line located, on the throttle body?

the vac ports next to the sensor in the pics.. one is for the pcv valve and in ef there is another for the charcoal canister..
and yep that blanked of bit is where the map sensor hose goes..but yes vacuum is vacuum so you could just use a t piece..

and as for the sensors from ea mpfi to el are all interchangable..

The man with the knowledge. The wire colours i think are the same from memory. Have pinouts etc somewhere if anyone get's stuck.

So no plugs are needed to be changed on the loom?

Cheers

Josh

yes from ea/eb1 the tps and isc plugs are different and from eb2/ed only the isc plug is different
but you can use the tps and isc from the ea or eb on the ef throttle body..

Good point! Since it's going manual, wouldn't need to have dual tps anyway so could just swap over one of the two onto the ef throttle body along with isc and keep exact same wiring loom!

It needs to be a series 1 VCT BBM as the sensors did change after that.

I got my motor Yesterday and she is tidy
One thing im wondering is can i run the serp belt without the AC pump or will i have to make a bracket and a roller for it ? The motor didn't come with a serp belt :|

Iv taken all the Acceseroise off and have started to clean the block ready for a spray with either Matt or gloss black? :) what do you think looks better
Also i carnt make my mind up whether i should paint the Rocker cover Blue or Gun metal or just leave it?

Now Iv just got to source out an EL to AU series One Intake. Because the motor i got is series Two  .

Why arnt you running aircon? Because your in NZ?

Go and buy a belt, what do you think ppl do when theres gets old/broken.

Your not going to see the block very often so jsut go for a matt black.

For the rocker cover, what colour is the car? is there any colour under your bonnet ATM? blue or red leads? coloured hoses? whats wrong with black or strip it for the clean alloy look. Gun metal would be alright if your car in gun metal.

What i was trying to ask was will I have to order a shorter belt since im not running an AC pump?
The car is white.
I used to have a blue theme under the hood but blues to common, so I think I might go with gun metal grey and polished alloy look 8-)

Unless you can get a shorter belt you might ahve to make up a bracket with a pully

Dont forget there is a extra pulley in the setup that bolts to your AU VCT power steer bracket. An EF EL serpentine belt will not fit.
