G'day
Recently replaced Vct solenoid on Xr6 due to it leaking through the connection. I noticed that the new one is leaking around the gasket. Should I use some kind of silicone to seal it or replace the gasket with something more substantial?? The gasket that came with it looks a bit useless.

I had a brand new one (NOS) that leaked through the connector. The housing was also known to leak due to porous casting so I have been told.
