Hi guys
I have been offered an AU xr6 non VCT motor 130000 ks + tans & CPU $500, My EF is getting tied so might do the conversion, I have read about the sump or K frame mods needed & other small mods. + bell-housing swop on here I have 4 question's: 1-should I replace EF cpu with Au xr6 CPU? 2-will trans fit without mods? tho nothing wrong with mine. 3- I'm running a wade 1636 in EF would there be any advantage installing that into Au xr6 ? 4- If so will shims be required number & size of shims ? due to pick it up next week any advice/guidance most appreciated cheers Dean |

I had series 1 motor so changed knock senor over from ef motor, drop in the CAS and slightly adjusted the CAS lock bracket as it bolts up on the other side. I ran the au injectors on the ef intake as couple of vacum outlets differ and fitted ef xr6 computer for firmer shifts and abit better fuel/timing maps... phill |

the au bellhousing needs to be bolted to the gearbox before fitting it to the engine..
but probably easier to put the engine and gearbox in together... |
