Hi
i was wondering what would be best. the kit i was thinking of getting is the same kit exept for my model as whats in my dads ba gt. its an ss inductions kit complete with K&N pod filter and housing and a snorkel that is longer than the radiator. the only problem is i can only find it a auto barn and they want $700 which is more than my dads. does anyone know of any other kits or somewhere to buy them im in SA but i will pay for postage.

are u talkign about forced induction or cold air?

these are 2 totally different things

to me it sounds like u are after a cold air induction setup

most guys with the AU's put on the tickford snorkel which is larger than stock and add the K+N filter

since you have xr lights, like me, you can fit a 3inch silicone pipe straight from the bottom off the airbox to the front bar. works a treat especially doing 60km's + air gets rammed in, i just put a pod on the other day and the car is going good. You can squeeze the pipe through and passd the back off the lighting assembly and then where you please to have it, get a 1metre length from autobarn $25, then a plastic gutter joiner $5,. i also have the bigger tickford snorkel well worth mod for 30 buks can notice the difference straight away.

I wouldn't bother getting a pod (well if you want the noise then yea) I have mine setup like this. Also the SS induction kit isn't worth the money, get somthing like an XR6T snorkle or an Aunger one.

truth is and it souns stupid but i like the noise a pod makes but if i get a pod it think ill get 3" tube from intake to it plus run 3" flexi tube down past the headlight and ill make up a little scoop and mount it down the bottom cutting off a little of the rad intake.
what do u think???

Might be better having the same setup as mine but have a pod in the box and also cut a whole in the box, down the bottom and have another intake comming out from there. Instead of having one big pipe going from the throttle body to underneith your headlight.
