How about a grudge match aftwerwards?

Ill chuck on some pirelli thongs :-D

13.8 is fkn quick for a standard Aussie built car!!

I'd still put money on the skyline if both drivers are evenly skilled

Reckon if ya got the time and cash put 3.9:1 or 4.11:1 gears in the diff before you tackle the rice, it'll take away alotta ya gearing disadvantage. Be a sly fox and don't tell the bugger but.. should mince the little jap box.

put t this way, they do have alot up top, but being heavy you may have him off the line, but he should pull straight past you in the top of 2nd and into 3rd, i raced an R33 GT-R and i had him by a nose, untill he hit 3rd and it was goodbye jonnie ;). but it was fun, and interesting at the same time. My car ain't much, but i got alot of joy out of it, when you have the passenger of a GT-R looking at you with a worried look on his face, good feeling :)

Yes.... Gear it... Not just to beat him but your car will hammer. He wont touch you if you run 4.11's.

Unless you are runing forced induction or mechenical forced induction?
My money would be on Skyline..
Not too many 6's run quicker than 15 seconds....

Rubbish.........everyone with a falcon manual and a cam runs 14's with a 6 cylinder.....
Autos with good gearing are in the same boat.

Oh my god!

When is all this bulldust going to settle?
When are we going to see the result?

Why are stock XR6T's so fast at the strip?
I'm always hearing or seeing stock XR6T's pulling high 13's.

What is the secret?
I want to know.
Next chance I will get to drag will be in August
Or September if I miss that...
I'll be rapt with a 14.2, let alone a high 13!

I've taken an R33 in mine (on a private road), but I wouldn't be surprised if one could beat me with ease (could have just been the driver, conditions...)

My mate is getting a turbo R33 skyline next week, it is stocko except for the exhaust...
Im pretty sure he thinks he is gonna smoke me, but im not sure...
What does everyone think? will he eat me or will it be closer than he thinks?

(Note my mods in sig)

Hate to break it to you mate but even in a stock standard r33 turbo, even with stock exhast, he will absolutely smoke you in the 1/4, especially if its manual (and i hope it is because he isnt very smart buying an auto r33). I dare say you would have trouble beeting him in an AUXR6t let alone a stock XR6.

Ive had the misfortune of getting beaten by a r33 Turbo in hunter street (main street in newcastle) in my mustang. absolutely smashed me of the line, was about 2 cars lengths in front of me (Damn Boost!). By the time we hit about 150K's we were pretty even , and he ended up beating me by about a metre in length. ( i had to slam on the brakes before the first corner on the drag, he went around it sideways pushing id say 140 lol)

But i wouldnt really get bumed about it. the falcons are a heavy car, he's got a massive power to weight ratio advantage on you. Hell ive beat a done up VS on the highway (30k rolling start) in my s**t stock Excel and they couldnt catch me until i topped out at 170 ( well prolly coulda squezzed 185 out of her but i could barley keep it on the road lol)

my 2cents

oh yeah, by the way, be warned, street racing is all fun and games until someone loses an eye. appart from the obvious risk of having an accident, or worse case sinario hitting a pedestrian, you will loose your lisence, be fined around 3-5 grand (depending on how many infringements they get u for) and they will impound your car and auctionj it off (worst part is they sell it for a hell of a lot less than its worth usually).

so i hope u choose a secluded under populated area to have this show down.

ye be warned

Enough speculation!!!!!!

Show either vids or timeslips. The unproven opinions that are being thrown around are no use to anyone.

Oldmate is still stuffing round with finance and too tell you the truth i wouldnt be surprised if he doesnt end up getting the car, hes notorious for spinning s**t haha, though he still says hes definently getting it.......but anyway i did get a chance to race a turbo 33 on the highway, not sure of mods? had a exhaust thats all i know off....100 km start, raced to bout 150 and i had about a bonnet length on him in the end, he dropped it back first too...think it may have been a auto though, not sure
