the engine in my car is getting a little tired and was thinknig of maybe getting an engine giving it a clean up ans then bolting it in..... is there much advantage in going with a later model engine??? and would tehre be any hassels or would it be a straight swap

AU alloy sump hits front section of crossmember, cut and reweld crossmember also AU different bell housing, EF/EL gearbox will have no lower support bolts when coupled to the AU motor

with the advantage is u can get the engine rebuilt while having a runnign car
also the AU engine is a much strgonger base stronger bottom end for more and longer high revs

anyone have any pics of a EF cross mount being cutted and welded for the AU conversion??

a few people have au blocks in ef/el's, how much does the crossmember cost to modify?
