Nothing...New Oak replaced it with a stock one last time. And refused any knowledge of the XR8 snorkel.

This time.....Nothing

i put mine in and i put the snorkel holes in line with one of the original holes and had to drill one!! when mine sits in - you can see where the rubber goes around it cause it has left a mark!!! no rubber blocks it at all - it actually shields it better!!

well good to hear it worked out. seems there are some places that you have to go over your car before and after you drop it off/pick it oup from to stop this s**t happening.

good to hear u got it back champ.

i had same prob a few months back, took it to mech and i had a spare alloy in the boot, they replaced it with a stockie rim.
i eventuallt got it back after 2 months or so, bloke got fired, apparently he was a seady bloke who stole s**t all the time..

i'll give him credit though, able to steal a alloy and tyre without anyone knowing about it for a while..

they are sly bastards, watch out for some of them!!!!

Lol, thanks to this thread I had to check under my bonnet to see if my TickFord intake was still there after my service. It was, I can't believe people can steal while you're getting something done with your car. Not enough that they usually rip us off, they gotta steal too!

noticed any performance difference, after a week of driving i reckon it makes a bee's d**k in performance.

The K&N panel does all the work. good cosmetic look under the bonnet with the ticky wings.

Well actually throttle response seems alot tighter and acceleration is better. Not sure on fuel economy yet, have to wait and see. I think it has a made a difference, with atleast those two mentioned, any others and I'm probably just imagining lol.

It's all in your head, mine has been on for 2 weeks and it doesn't give you more power, the inlet hole size doesn't change.

EF/EL 5L's came with the stock EF/EL 6cyl snorkel. So i think if the stock snorkel could handle the V8 heavy breather than that's why it doesn't do squat.

The airbox lid has more effect on airbox flow than the snorkel....

Most people fit them with a new filter, and hence think they have got a power gain.

My modified airbox(done by a bloke in Brissy that worked on the first turbo/brock EA falcons, makes the car go heaps better than compared with the AU XR8 snorkel)
