AU2 Tickford 75th Ghia 6cyl. Engine just cuts out when I drive off and apply pressure to accelerator. Never had any issues with this since I bought from a mechanic 3 years ago. Been serviced and everything. Just when it's about to conk out if I then lift my foot off the gas - it idles and the traction light comes on and stays ON. It used to do this when I accelerate up hill too quickly but then it picks up and keeps going and the traction light goes off now it stays ON until I turn the car off.
All sorts of things come to mind, fuel filter, fuel pump, injectors, ignition coil (but then it idles smoothly and when it goes on the road it goes ok). Anyone had come across or has any ideas. thnx
