I have a stock standard AUII Futura, lately it has been starting to get hot when under load. Normal town and open road running is fine but as soon as it's working, ie going up a hill, the temp guage very quickly get up to about 3/4, as soon as normal cruise resumes it drop back to normal. Its gradually been getting worse. Cooling system is all up to scratch, new radiator and thermostat a while back. Is it possible the exhaust is blocked? Have the cat convertors in these been known to collapse? Cars done 210,000km.

Normal running it sits on the O in normal, when going up hill it gets up just past the L in normal.

That is getting pretty warm then.....
I would ordinarily be pointing the finger at a partial radiator occlusion or stuck thermostat, but if all new, then they are less likely to be the problem. If it happens whilst moving, it's not going to be an issue with the fans. What sort of condition are your hoses in. Old soft hoses can suck in and cause a problem, but that would be less specific in it's manifestation I think. I keep coming back to the radiator.... even brand new ones can have blockages from brazing slag and other manufacturing faults, so it wouldn't hurt to get that checked.
