As long as you refit the rubber trim around the CAI's contour then yes, fine. Otherwise the hot engine air gets in.

But i suppose if your after every little bees dink of performance gain your best option is the AUnger and to trim and refit the rubber back a bit hey? |

Well I can tell you that the line of the rubber trim on the underside of the bonnet runs true to the contour of the SS intake when lowered back down into locked position. I know this as I placed grease on the rubber trim and closed the bonnet to see where it marked the SS Induction intake and the grease line ran right along the top lip of the intake's opening. The SS intake is matched to the rubber trim. The Aunger intake does not, obviously.

with a ef were does the air come into under the bonnet when driving.
when i look at a ef front even the xr there is only like a 10mm or room for air to be ramed into the snorkle so what does it matter how big the mouth is if its ristricted by the size of the hole outside on the front of the car? |

BNKRBR thats where the air is drawn from, the gap between the bonnet and the bumper.

yeh but if that gap is only like 1 cm then whats the point of getting bigger snorkle if the air flow is limmeted by that 1 cm lol.

If you want performance with least amount of cost or should say AIR FLOW.
Cut a 3-5" hole at the bottom of your airbox on your au/ef/el and run a pvc pipe or flexi hose/silicon hose to the bottom/front of your bar (inside, not underneath or ull bottom out on it) Then you'll get ram air induction with more effectiveness and less restriction whilst looking stock as a rock. |

True Fuzion but beware running through flooded roads after a serious downpour or the pipe may dip into the water and suck it up into the engine.

Vic wrote: True Fuzion but beware running through flooded roads after a serious downpour or the pipe may dip into the water and suck it up into the engine. i doubt it's suck it up. why? because water weighs more than air. at normal cruising speed, your original snorkel would probably flow enough air to easily feed the engine. so when you dip into the water the engine will just source all it's air from the original snorkel instead of sucking up heavier water from the ground (and that water would have to be sucked quite far to get all the way into the donk). tickford_6 wrote: thats all well and good. but not every one is willing to cut/drill holes in there car
it's a Ford Modification site what do ya expect. I'd sure as hell rather cut the hole than fork out 250 for a bit of plastic... |

for $250 thats a waste of money IMO....it be more feasable to get a EL GT one for $30 as Timmeh said, and then run 1 or 2 80mm flexi pipes from the bumper to the airbox...thatll give u better results and cost u less than half the price of the Aunger....

it fits onto EF-AU air filter boxs. So so long as you fit that along with teh BBM conversion yeah it'll fit. |

i can fit my arm down my aunger intake and tickle the air pod. the aunger air intake requires you to cut a larger hole in the airbox, so no it doesnt squeeze the air down into the same size hole. i can provide pics if needed.
