Is it possiable to install another auto into a BA . I have had two triptonics fitted to my 2004 BA falcon and both have failed within 12 months so i am looking to install something stronger. Does anybody have suggestions thankyou.

Is the engine modified? Do you do any unusual driving?

Install the Turbo version, it has the same gears as the AU not the softer ones in the non turbo version.

The turbo and non turbo boxes are the same item they only change the shift points and the line pressure to make them shift harder so that they last a bit longer.
Run the standard box but get someone to put the turbo map in it.

My understanding is that the BA BTR went to finer gears that were softer in an attempt to make the box quiter. The Turbo version retained the AU gears.

make sure your getting it serviced about 10.000 km before the recommended due time. The BA boxes heat up an awful lot and if aren't maintained with extra viligence then boom goes the gearbox
