Gains are NOT huge, but it does help the engine breathe alot better. I got a K&N filter then the AUIII XR8 ticky snorkle and i noticed throttle response had improved greatly! :)

But thats it, i mean induction noise was louder but with the hood down you cant hear it ne way.

For $30-$40 its worth getting. Well that my opinion ne way.

i have induction noise, didnt b4, i can hear it sucking from the drivers seat, sounds cool

its not a great deal diff, little bit more responsive

its up to u whether u put the k&n in, i did, i think it made a difference especially in fuel economy i easily get 800kms on high and around 600km around town

i noticed a great improvement with throttle response. i also put in the K&N panel filter which also helped a bit. but for 30-40 bucks its well worth it. theres a fair difference in throat diameter between standard ef and the au2 snorkel. i dont see why some people pay over 100 bucks for the other ones like SS inductions one when its pretty much the same

The $300 bigmouth from SS Inductions is a waste of money for the EF\EL Falcon. Get urself a AUII\AUIII XR8 Air Intake Snorkel... bought mine for $33 from Jarvis Ford.

Any new Ford Dealer can get them in, within a few hours. Costs between $25 - $35.

Takes 3 mins to install.

There is a noticeable increase in throttle response, a slight raise in performance, and a nice (but soft) "sucking" induction sound.

This cheap mod = Big :D

You could also buy the EL GT snorkel which is similar size and fits to the original mounting screws. $45 from Ford.

is there any size difference between the EL GT snorkel and the AU2 xr8 one?

i mean, if they are same size and give same flow, would the EL GT one be better as it fits in the origional mounting holes?

It's also a good mod that works in harmony with other mods, like exhaust/extractors/cam/headwork - i.e. anything that'll benefit from more air.
