My standard EF 4.0 auto got 9.2L/100 sitting just over 100Km/h in yesterdays 39ºC heat. Perth to Mandurah and back according to the computer.
On a cold night I've seen it using 6.8L/100 at about 90Km/h but yoou lose those figures with stops and starts. Before I reset it there was 16.5/100 from the last few weeks of city driving. |

Driving like a grandma, keeping it under 2000rpm, and using cruise control gets me from Adelaide -> Ballarat with 3/4 of a Tank
City/Suburban driving....lol, Probably 300-350 out of a full tank

i generally get 400-450 city and 700-750 highway, 1997EL, 5 speed, extractors. cruise on my EL definerly uses more fuel than just using your foot sensibly...! I get better economy from 92 oct fuel... but smoother on 95... LOL
the listed economy is 7.6 ? i think per 100... nfi how you can get that!

AUIII Fairmont, high 13's L/100km. Climate control keeps the A/C kicking in and out most of the time, except for "tween" ambient temperatures where it's not cold enough to frost up the windscreen and not hot enough to need cooling for comfort... I just switch it off and set the appropriate fan speed.
