I am doing my first gasket change due to oil leak, I was able to free the rocker cover after removing all the bolts and coils but I can’t completely remove it because of two Vct Solenoids. I have already removed the 7mm bolts and tried by unscrewing (anticlockwise) but the won’t move. Can someone please help with this issue?

You just need to kink/pull them sideways till you feel the seal break and they should slide off the solenoid,cheers Johnny.

Edit; with a screwdriver on the metal ring tap the screwdriver with your hand and the seal should separate from the cover and solenoid.
