hi guys, i have an auto 6cyl. i want to convert it to manual. So far i cant find an AU 5spd but have seen alot of BA 5spds around. will it fit? i have been told by 1 person it wont but what do you guys know about it?

It will fit, but you need take tap into the ABS Sensors to make your speedo work. PM OZBMX, he has a manual AU XR6 he is wrecking.

thanks for that. What should i expect to pay for someone to do the conversion for me?
Will my original computer work with it or what else do i need to get changed? |

As far as I know being an AU2 you will need an AU2 ecu and get it matched to your BEM due to smartshield.
Not sure what you would pay for labour, but I picked up an au conversion for $550 last week including manual ecu.

BA gearbox does not fit an AU. Words from a very unhelpful grumpy person that had no idea about customer service from Athol park ford wreckers. He was so rude i had to mention it in here. Id rather shoot myself in the foot and walk to hospital than go there again. thanks for your help, all of you that put forward your thoughts should call that wreckers and offer them some advise on customer service.
