Hey guys, I want to make my BA Ghia sound a little more manly. Remember it is only a 6 so i know i am not going to get that nice V8 crack out of the pipe. What setup would you go for and who would you recommend in Vic for the install. ?

Considering it's an auto, take out the rear muffler and it you want to, upgrade to 2.5 inch, cost vs. pwr isn't much different tho

Extractors are basically a must, range from $200-750 depending on brand and quality.

I've heard a few people saying that an upgrade to a turbo exhaust helps, considering it's two pipes... maybe b/c you can get them cheap off ebay!! (word is that there are a few problems fitting them tho... )

As for extractors, I've got myself a set of genie high performance extractors on my BA na6, had a good response from them, although the bottom end is not much better, I'm aiming for a cam upgrade, bringing a sharper acceleration around the 2500 mark, rather than 3500... but let me just say, that when I hit 3500 atm, the b**ch gets up and f**k off!

there are a tonne of posts looking precisely at which extractors fit and go best, whether they be pacemakers, HM, JMM, Herrod, whatever, in the end, its up to how much you're willing to spend and what you want to gain...

i have a xr6 turbo exhaust i purchased,
a cat to tip one,

you would just need to weld from the tip of the cat onto your existing exhaust outlet...

it wont fix my car as its an e-gas :(

i went a 2.5 from the cat back with slightly smaller sports mufflers. Been told it sounds like a V8 at basically idle. It will give you a louder car but still a bit quiet
