hi, been workin on a bf 6cyl , and when i pulled of the timing cover i remember scraping of some silicone, it must be from the factory as there was no timing gasket.
when i got the gasket set , it said ba on it, didnt say bf... then i noticed there was a rubber timing cover gasket in there, but theres NO WAY that would go onto the bf timing cover , no grooves etc,,,, so my question is : is there supposed to be some sorta gasket on the bf timing cover or did ford just use silicone ? mark k |

They also changed the front cover at the same time. |
