They did???

All BA's had SSS (Sequential Sports Shift) so think thats what he is reffering to....

Its been fiited to EB's before so cant see why it cant be done, but you dont need to change the trans to do it.... A BA trans wont wok with a AU ECU as the trans is wired differantly internally.

The box itself is a complete physical fit.

However, the internal eletronics and solenoid actuation is completely different to AU.

Plus it has no gear selector shaft on the drivers side.

If you were going to do everything, then it would work. But if its box only, then no, it wont work.

I hope you have learnt a very valuable lesson.

Never believe a Ford dealer or Ford Factory Trained technician. They are always full of s**t, will tell you anything to make a sale, get your cash and push you out the door!

yeap, but it gets worse, they said the drivebelt needed replacing and the starter positive lead :S they quotd $800 for all new gear including time spent to install. i turned it down and later (3 months later when it went in for a service at a good known mate of mines garage) found out that it was all near brand new anyway so never going to fraud again about anything
