will try to get plenty of pics for you guys! :) but yes having alot more money on the side will help as theres bound to be small problems that will start adding up.
i've got 6k to play around with so it should be enough with some extra on the side just incase. also definately go with an aftermarket cpu if you want to run everything properly. and i'd have no idea how the 4speed auto would go but my guess is prob not too well.

considered a turbo or a bf but in the end i'm going for a good low k ba engine. the turbo will come later as i'll be doing alot of work on the engine once it goes in. but all in good time :) at the moment we are looking at using a wolfv500. the guys i'm doing it with also do alot of work with ems and are looking at how well the stinger4 will control everything as they've programmed it to run vct in other setups. will have a definite answer probably mid next week if not earlier.

The wolf and ems only have 1 cam sync input dont they?

Motec or autronic are the only options with 2 AFAIK.

actually sorry your right the stinger4 does have only one input. lol i got mixed up. We're looking at the 8860. it has two load sensors it just takes abit of extra programming. and i thought the wolfv500 had two load sensors? I may be wrong though, wouldn't be the first time :)

Wolf and ems 8860 have 1 cam sync sensor.

Take it from someone who has looked into all of this already.

Had a further chat today and everything is going as planned. Hopefully if i get all the stuff delievered on time we'll be starting next week. :)
Just to confirm, we are using the ems stinger 4, as the guy I'm doing it with has already used it successfully to run everything in the ba engine including vct in a different car a month or two ago. the stinger4 has 4 fully programmable inputs which he can use to setup the dual vct with some programming he did and a couple of sensors. will keep you guys posted

What's the resolution like on the stinger. Apparently the stock BA ECU resolution s**t on a motec. Motec is good but starts to lose resolution once you want to use 4D maps.
